The
London based Alleycats took to the road in 1998, but most of the six guys in
the current line-up have been around the fifties rock'n'roll scene a lot longer
than that. They regularly gig across the UK and occasionally in Europe. Anywhere
a good rock'n'roll party is going on!
With guitars, piano, tenor sax, bass, drums and lots of vocals, they play for entertainment and dancing. If you want to jive, bop, stroll or smooch, these are the guys for you.
The Alleycats cover the whole range of 50s rock 'n' roll, from rockabilly and swing to doo-wop. Their 2003 CD "Alley Palais", contained many of their own songs, in authentic fifties style, but the live set contains mainly a great cross section of the classic rock'n'roll songs plus a few less obvious surprises!
