Their sound is driving Country Rock and Blues reminiscing of the greats of the 70's, Dave Edmunds, Credence Clearwater, The Band....peppered with a healthy dose of originality. The songs are all original material written, recorded and produced by the band themselves in their own studio. Their debut album Redemption Road is a must for all serious Rock'n'Roll fans. Go buy your copies now!
The Dominators feature Martin Davies from Britain's hardest working 50's Rock'n'Roll/Jive band, Colin Paul and the Persuaders, playing to literally thousands of people in the UK each year. Here for the first time, Martin shows off the songwriting he and lifelong friend and session guitarist Jeff Weston have perfected over the years, and with the help of fellow Persuader Dave Lea on piano and top New Zealand session drummer Eddie Raynor on drums, bring you a Rockin' dynamic and incredibly catchy Country Rock CD. You'll be jiving, strolling and singing along for years to come, with the influence of The Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dave Edmunds, Travelling Wilburys, etc...

The Dominators feature 4 of the UK’s most experienced live musicians in good old Rock'n'Roll!

Martin Davies on Bass and vocals, along with Dave Lea on piano have just over 1000 live gigs under their belts as members of Colin Paul and The Persuaders, one of the UK’s most popular 50’s Rock'n'Roll bands.

Top session musicians Jeff Weston on Lead guitar and vocals, plus New Zealand drummer Eddie Raynor on drums, cement a line up that has got together to make a CD of brand new Country Rock that was just crying out to be made!

Martin and Jeff have been good friends for 18 years, worked in many bands together, and it was only natural that one day they would finally get together to record the album they’ve always wanted to.

Recorded at their own studios in their home city, Manchester, a labour of love has finally produced “Redemption Road”, 15 original Rock'n'Roll/Country Rock songs that are becoming firm favourites on the rockin' dancefloors of the UK.

 The Dominators are...

Martin DaviesMartin Davies.

Bass and Rhythm guitar, vocals.

Influences, ...Any good Rock'n'Roll!!Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Lennon/McCartney, Sid Vicious(!), Ray Davies, Dave Edmunds...

Played Bass guitar since the age of 18, hugely influenced by the playing of McCartney, John Entwistle, Bruce Foxton and James Jamerson.

More live gigs than he cares to remember ( well over one thousand), anything from one barman in Stoke to 18,000 people in Tatton Park Cheshire have heard his playing over the last 22 years.

Brings a swing to the beat that is rarely heard of in modern electric Rock'n'Roll bass playing. At last, a vehicle for his songwriting in the shape of Redemption Road!

Jeff WestonJeff Weston.

Lead and Rhythm guitar, vocals.

Hugely experienced session musician, influences...Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Travis Tritt, Eric Clapton, BB King...

Played guitar since the age of 14 and has jointly written the vast majority of Redemption Road with Martin.

His style is as versatile as his collection of shoes!! Ranging from good old Country fingerpicking to melodic Blues, to the energetic vamping and lead passages of modern Rock'n'Roll.

Dave LeaDave Lea.

Piano, vocals.

Piano man extrordinaire! Influences, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Fats Domino...

Dave is regarded on the UK Rock'n'Roll scene as one of the best rockin' piano players around. He brings his love of jazz music to the genre to produce a style that is loved by the audiences he plays to. He also works out the complicated orchestral pieces that are required when he backs the likes of Elvis’s Sweet Inspirations and the music of Billy Fury, whose brother Albie The Persuaders have worked with many times.

An invaluable asset to The Dominators. His lead breaks on songs like “The One That Got Away” and “Heavy Weather’ will show what we mean.

Eddie RaynorEddie Raynor.

Drums.

What can we say about Eddie? Played on 5 no.1 singles in his home country New Zealand with The Exponents. Toured with members of Stevie Winwoods band, The Commodores, Brand New Heavies, and Simple Minds. Quite simply one of the best and most in demand session players in the North West of England.

A privilege according to Martin, to have had him play on the CD.
