Valeria
Dragova has been a natural performer since dancing ballet from the age of four,
encouraged by her artistic family. Her father is a solo cellist.
Born in
Sweden of Bulgarian parents, but brought up in Germany, Valeria speaks five
languages fluently. German, English, Swedish, French & Bulgarian.
Her
artistic interests led her to enrol at the renowned Wimbledon School of Art
where she was awarded a BA in Technical Arts Design.
She
began her career performing in stage shows she created at Torture Garden, Rubberball
and Erotica. Her shows have a dark, throbbing, twisted atmosphere with references
to noir films like Das Schreckenskabinett des Caligari and The Night Porter.
Audiences experience a whiff of decadence reminiscent
of pre-war Berlin cabarets with their smoky ambiance of corrupt sexual depravity.
She can be the embodiment of beauty and dissolution, desire and danger with
her exotic and sexy style. Her hair is black in yin and yang contrast to her
soft white skin with a pout Angelina Jolie might reasonably die for.
In her spectacular pieces, Wasp Woman and Egg Timer, her corsets cinch her waist to seventeen sexy inches as extreme heels accentuate the irony of vulnerability and power. After all, this is a beautiful woman who can dance, carry a long cigarette holder, wear a stormtrooper hat and strut with a husky German accent. Palpitating and devastating.
VALERIA
DRAGOVA played the lead in Ruined Steel in Camden, the heart of London's alternative
arts scene and appeared in performance art pieces like Marissa Carnesky's Ghosttrain.
Her work in mainstream commercials include Virgin Atlantic (directed by Harry Enfield), VO5 Shampoo and Bell's Whisky. She hosted the notorious Kerrang Awards for four consecutive years.
Her work with numerous photographers include David Bailey, Bob Carlos Clarke, and her photos have been featured in Skin Two, Marquis, Kerrang and Loaded.
Valeria further adds to the distractions of London by riding her powerful vintage Yamaha XS 650 through its streets wearing a figure-hugging leather catsuit.
Her future plans include work with the performance group Adora as well as her own solo stage creations.
